Most of the manufacturers of wheel drums do use black paint for their components in mat finish with a pr primer coat for good adhesion .
For the spraying of black paint on brake drum components the following accessories are required along with a pilot spray gun , air hoses and air compressor with frl unit to remove water moisture content from the clean air to be sprayed.

Conveyorised Brake Drum Painting is a faster way of wheel drum painting in spray painting booth for wheel drums Wheels drums are placed on manual roller conveyor in line and are pushed one by one into the paint booth, then by sliding method it is pushed on to turntable, and rotated with a soft speed manually or electrically. During this rotation painting with the spray gun is commenced. This application gives an even paint film all over the brake drum. Then these wheels are pushed to the other side of the conveyor and allowed to dry on it.
Some manufacturers also use ovens for drying the paint film on wheel drum painting line. Depending on the quality of paint, Autocoat guides its customers whether oven is required or not .Some very good quick drying paints do not need oven assistance for drying.
