AIR SUPPLY UNITS

“Clean room” concept for plastic painting is the requirement of today. Most of the plastics have replaced metal parts, in category sig “A Class Finish” which means ultra finish requirement. Not only it has to match quality of contour etc. but it has to match “paint glass, hardness, etc.” at par with other “A class Finish” manufactured by Parent manufacturer. (Ex. Bumpers, Mirrors, Seat, Dash Boards, etc.) On equipment side clean room is a must for any plastic painting to overcome dust problems. For a quality paint shop for plastics Autocoat recommends:

1. Water Wash Spray Booth with water curtain. (Preferably SS construction.)

2. Low Temperature drying oven.

3. Air Supply Unit with ducting for 5 micron filtration.

FOR CONVEYORISED SET UP

1.Spray Pre-treatment Plant.

2.Drying Oven.

3.Booth Set up.

4. Low Temperature Drying Oven.

5.Air Supply Unit with ducting for 5 micron filtration.

Air Supply Unit supplies the air that is needed for painting in a spray painting booth. The air is first filtered through an air filter that is placed in the air supply unit. The blower that is placed in the air supply unit sucks the filtered air and sends it through a duct to the spray painting booth. Air supply unit is very much needed to keep the air clean ensuring safety to the health of the operator. This in turn leads to the efficiency of work. Air supply unit also prevents pollution of air. Air supply unit resists the entry of dust in the paint shop. Air supply unit controls the temperature and humidity.

An air supply unit replaces the air the exhaust fan takes out, therefore creating a positive pressure environment in the booth and resulting in a cleaner paint job. They are available in vertical units which stand along side of the booth or horizontal which can be mounted above the booth or on the roof. They have a set of filters to clean the air before it is heated and sent into the booth. This scenario provides the best environment for the operator and typically produces the best paint job.         

Air Supply Unit can also be placed outside the company building and air can be routed by means of ducting. Air Supply Unit can not only be added with paint shop or paint plants but also can be added for factory temperature cooling. An advantage of Air Supply Unit for a factory is that it can be used to add up humidity in the factory air, which in turn reduces the hot temperature in the premises. In many areas where the utilization of air conditioning system leads to high capital investment and running cost, Air Supply Units play a major role in cooling the surrounding atmosphere and replacing the hot air by colder one.
